传说，桔梗花有两种花语。分别是：永恒的爱和无望的爱。
为什么在同一种花身上会有两种看来有天地之别的花语呢？
没有人知道。
大概跟这世界上的很多事情一样，是不需要什么道理的。
或许桔梗花开是代表着幸福的降临。
可是有人能抓住幸福，有的人却注定与它无缘，抓不住它，也留不住花。
因此桔梗花便有着双层的含义：永恒的爱和无望的爱。
在《繁花盛开的森林》中对桔梗花有这样一段描写：
秋露仿佛一团白烟，从住宅的后门飘了过去。
这些烟露就如同无声的烟火般，在附近一带蔓延。
在秋露飘漫中，依稀可见远方有许多桔梗花。
这些花儿如一张薄棉被般，在秋露中绽放着寂寞……
这就是伴随着如同梦一般的秋露，伴随着无声的烟火，以及遍地花草的平原中传过来的吹笛声，寂寞而永恒的桔梗花。
既适合送情人也适合送永不再相见的对象的桔梗花。
因为它既是永恒，也是无望。
或者，是永恒无望的爱。
所以她才会在秋露中透露着寂寞的气息。
那逐渐微弱的声音或许是无望的感觉，也是永恒的感觉。
在传说中，如果把寂寞而永恒的桔梗花采回了家，仔细的捣碎之后均匀的涂在中指和拇指的指甲上，然后把双手拼成菱形放在眼前，就会看到朝思暮想的人，就可以知道对方过的好和不好了。
可是照做之后，那菱形的世界中依旧是那么的空旷，寒冷依旧是那样的敲打着心旋，那兰紫色的花，其实是无望的。
面对着永恒而无望的桔梗花，我想抓却又不敢去抓！怕轻易间毁了那脆弱的幸福！所以没有那个勇气。
我不敢轻易的去留住一朵花，我留不住花。怕只怕最后心碎的，是我，也是它。
永恒的爱，对我来说，也许最好的方式就是远远的看着我的桔梗花。有痛苦的思念。但是痛苦的将不是我爱的花。
面对桔梗花，需要的或许是勇气，也或许是勇弃，还是永弃呢？(转)
